It's the GeneMedi's summary page for Target/Biomarker Introduction of ADH1A. The page also collects GeneMedi's different modalities and formats products for ADH1A in therapeutics/drug discovery and IVD diagnostics, which is including antibody, ADC, bispecific, antigen, ORF vector, VLP, etc. With GeneMedi's target-insight database-GM ITD database, the ADH1A target is also connected to human indications/diseases/conditions/MOA.

Target sublocation: Transmembrane Protein.

This gene encodes a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase family. The encoded protein is the alpha subunit of class I alcohol dehydrogenase, which consists of several homo- and heterodimers of alpha, beta and gamma subunits. Alcohol dehydrogenases catalyze the oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes. This gene is active in the liver in early fetal life but only weakly active in adult liver. This gene is found in a cluster with six additional alcohol dehydrogenase genes, including those encoding the beta and gamma subunits, on the long arm of chromosome 4. Mutations in this gene may contribute to variation in certain personality traits and substance dependence. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Pre-made anti-ADH1A inhibitory monoclonal antibody(mab, blocking antibody inhibitor)-benchmark reference antibody for drug discovery and mechanism of action (MOA) research

Pre-made anti-ADH1A benchmark inhibitory monoclonal antibody(mab, blocking antibody inhibitor) is expressed by mammalian cell line as a benchmark antibody for cell culture, FACS, ELISA or other affinity binding assay or functional assay development, animal model development, PK/PD model development (Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacodynamic). The anti-ADH1A mab is expressed and produced by mammalian cell line as a benchmark reference therapeutic antibody for biological drug discovery items including cell culture, assay development, animal model development, PK/PD model development (Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacodynamic) and mechanism of action (MOA) research.
