    Structurally, Vitamin B12 features a complex molecular arrangement with a central cobalt atom. This cobalt atom is the linchpin of Vitamin B12's biological activity, crucial for its role as a coenzyme in enzymatic reactions vital to feline physiology.

    Vitamin B12 plays a pivotal role in the metabolic conversion of methylmalonyl-CoA to succinyl-CoA, catalyzed by methylmalonyl-CoA mutase.
