TNFα, or Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha, in cats (felines), is a multifaceted cytokine that holds a pivotal role in both immune responses and inflammatory processes. As a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily, TNFα is a critical mediator of various physiological functions, including inflammation, apoptosis, cell proliferation, and immune cell activation.
Structurally, TNFα exists as a homotrimeric protein, composed of three identical subunits.
