PLSCR1: Target/Biomarker Introduction, products summarized (antibody/ADC/bispecific/antigen/ORF vector/VLP) and disease/indication/condition/MOA for drug discovery and IVD
It's the GeneMedi's summary page for Target/Biomarker Introduction of PLSCR1. The page also collects GeneMedi's different modalities and formats products for PLSCR1 in therapeutics/drug discovery and IVD diagnostics, which is including antibody, ADC, bispecific, antigen, ORF vector, VLP, etc. With GeneMedi's target-insight database-GM ITD database, the PLSCR1 target is also connected to human indications/diseases/conditions/MOA.
Target sublocation: Transmembrane Protein.
This gene encodes a phospholipid scramblase family member. The encoded protein is involved in disruption of the asymmetrical distribution of phospholipids between the inner and outer leaflets of the plasma membrane, resulting in externalization of phosphatidylserine. This cell membrane disruption plays an important role in the blood coagulation cascade as well as macrophage clearing of apoptotic cells. The encoded protein has additionally been implicated in gene regulation and interferon-induced antiviral responses. [provided by RefSeq, May 2022]
