Transducing primary neurons can be challenging due to their fragility. In this case study, we demonstrate the superior performance of the engineered capsid AAV-PHP.eB.
Experiment Setup
- Cell Type: Rat Primary Cortical Neurons (DIV 7)
- Vector: AAV-PHP.eB-CAG-GFP
- MOI: 1E5 vg/cell
Results
Fluorescence microscopy at 72 hours post-infection revealed widespread GFP expression.
The quantification showed a transduction efficiency of 96.5%, significantly higher than AAV9 (65%) under the same conditions.
