Applications of Molecular Diagnostics Reagents

Oncology Detection Applications

Molecular diagnostics reagents play a central role in tumor detection, primarily by identifying tumor-specific biomarkers, mutations, and expression profiles to support precise diagnosis, prognostic evaluation, and treatment guidance.

Real-time PCR is used to detect cancer markers such as EGFR, KRAS, and BRAF mutations, enabling rapid diagnosis of solid tumors including lung cancer and colorectal cancer. Internal controls help reduce reagent costs, conserve precious samples, and improve detection efficiency. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) and Sanger sequencing are employed for multi-gene panel testing to identify genomic alterations such as homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) and tumor mutational burden (TMB). These methods can detect low-abundance targets and are suitable for liquid biopsy (ctDNA) and tissue sample analysis.

Animal-Origin Detection Applications (e.g., Meat and Dairy Adulteration)

Meat Adulteration Detection

Animal-origin quality control materials are widely used for food adulteration traceability, religious compliance (e.g., Halal pork adulteration detection, Kosher non-Kosher animal detection), and supply-chain monitoring. Routine quality control includes validation of limit of detection, accuracy, and stability. High-resolution mass spectrometry (HR-MS) and real-time PCR are commonly used for dual proteinand nucleic acid-based verification to identify adulteration in heat-processed meat products. Real-time PCR has developed rapidly in food safety, detecting mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences to identify adulterant species in meat (e.g., pork in beef or duck presented as lamb). TaqMan multiplex assays can simultaneously detect multiple animal sources with sensitivity down to 0.1%.

Dairy Product Adulteration Detection

For example, detecting camel milk adulteration in cow’s milk via PCR targeting camel-specific DNA (e.g., mitochondrial cytochrome b gene). Real-time PCR enables quantification of adulteration proportions with sensitivity reaching 0.1%. Multiplex PCR can simultaneously detect cow, camel, and goat milk, making it suitable for processed dairy products.

Halal and Kosher Meat Adulteration Detection

DNA-based methods such as PCR and qPCR are used to detect porcine DNA or other prohibited species. Applicable to Halal (pork adulteration detection) and Kosher (non-Kosher animal detection) verification. TaqMan multiplex qPCR can simultaneously validate multiple meat sources with a limit of detection as low as 0.1%, supporting label verification of pre-packaged meat products and real-time monitoring.

Key Product Types

Enzymes and reagents for New drug development and diagnostic

The Taq Antibody is a monoclonal antibody used for hot-start PCR reactions with Taq DNA polymerase. It reversibly binds to the active site of Taq enzyme, inhibiting activity at low temperatures to prevent non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation. Once the reaction temperature reaches 95°C, the antibody dissociates, releasing full enzyme activity. This highly purified, high-affinity product is suitable for qPCR, endpoint PCR, and molecular diagnostic kit development. The Anti-Taq DNA polymerase monoclonal antibody significantly enhances PCR specificity and sensitivity, particularly for complex templates (e.g., genomic DNA) or high-sensitivity detection, effectively reducing background noise and delivering clear, reliable results.

Probe qPCRMix

Multiplex Probe qPCR Master Mix is a 2× concentrated premix optimized for multiplex real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR), supporting simultaneous detection of 2–5 targets. It is ideal for high-throughput screening, such as multiplex pathogen detection or gene expression analysis. The mix achieves highly efficient and specific multiplex amplification while balancing amplification efficiency across channels, allowing more data to be obtained from a single reaction, conserving precious samples and reagent costs, and increasing overall throughput.

OneStep Multiplex Probe RT-qPCR Kit

The One Step Multiplex Probe RT-qPCR Kit is a one-tube reagent system that integrates reverse transcription (RT) and qPCR into a single reaction, enabling real-time quantitative detection of RNA targets. Its core component is a genetically engineered hot-start Taq DNA polymerase combined with an optimized buffer system that supports specific probe-based detection of multiple targets in the same tube. This simplifies workflows, minimizes operational errors and cross-contamination risks, and is especially suitable for high-throughput RNA virus detection and gene expression analysis, offering fast, sensitive, and highly reproducible performance.
