The target: MMP28, gene name: MMP28, also named as EPILYSIN, MM28, MMP-25, MMP-28, MMP25. Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix for both normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction and tissue remodeling, and disease processes, such as asthma and metastasis. This gene encodes a secreted enzyme that degrades casein. Its expression pattern suggests that it plays a role in tissue homeostasis and in wound repair. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014].
About Gmab
GMab, developed by GeneMedi, constitutes an advanced library of recombinant monoclonal antibodies, each meticulously designed to target specific molecular entities. Leveraging the sophisticated capabilities of GM’s Taurus™ and LIBRA™ platforms, GMab synthesizes antibodies characterized by high binding affinity, exceptional physicochemical stability, and optimal developability profiles.
Through expression in mammalian cell lines, GMab has been established as a paradigmatic reference antibody. It holds significance in myriad domains of biological drug discovery, encompassing cellular cultivation, innovative assay methodologies, strategic animal model systematization, in-depth pharmacokinetic & pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling, and intricate mechanism of action (MOA) investigations.
