The target: PZP, gene name: PZP, also named as CPAMD6. The protein encoded by this gene is highly expressed in late-pregnancy serum and is similar in structure to alpha-2-macroglobulin. The encoded protein, which acts as a homotetramer, inhibits the activity of all four classes of proteinases. This protein contains cleavage sites for several proteinases. Upon binding of a proteinase, the conformation of this protein changes to trap the proteinase, limiting its activity. This protein appears to be elevated in the sera of presymptomatic Alzheimer's disease patients. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016].

    About Gmab

    GDU
    GDU

GMab, developed by GeneMedi, constitutes an advanced library of recombinant monoclonal antibodies, each meticulously designed to target specific molecular entities. Leveraging the sophisticated capabilities of GM’s Taurus™ and LIBRA™ platforms, GMab synthesizes antibodies characterized by high binding affinity, exceptional physicochemical stability, and optimal developability profiles.

Through expression in mammalian cell lines, GMab has been established as a paradigmatic reference antibody. It holds significance in myriad domains of biological drug discovery, encompassing cellular cultivation, innovative assay methodologies, strategic animal model systematization, in-depth pharmacokinetic & pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling, and intricate mechanism of action (MOA) investigations.
