The target: PRDM12, gene name: PRDM12, also named as HSAN8, PFM9. This gene encodes a transcriptional regulator of sensory neuronal specification that plays a critical role in pain perception. The encoded protein contains an N-terminal PRDI-BF1 and RIZ homology (PR) domain, a SET domain, and three C-terminal C2H2 zinc finger DNA-binding domains. Naturally occurring mutations in this gene are associated with congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP), and hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathies (HSAN's) affecting peripheral sensory and autonomic neurons. Deregulation of this gene is associated with solid cancers and hematological malignancies including chronic myeloid leukaemia. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017].
About Gmab
GMab, developed by GeneMedi, constitutes an advanced library of recombinant monoclonal antibodies, each meticulously designed to target specific molecular entities. Leveraging the sophisticated capabilities of GM’s Taurus™ and LIBRA™ platforms, GMab synthesizes antibodies characterized by high binding affinity, exceptional physicochemical stability, and optimal developability profiles.
Through expression in mammalian cell lines, GMab has been established as a paradigmatic reference antibody. It holds significance in myriad domains of biological drug discovery, encompassing cellular cultivation, innovative assay methodologies, strategic animal model systematization, in-depth pharmacokinetic & pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling, and intricate mechanism of action (MOA) investigations.
