The target: PCDH12, gene name: PCDH12, also named as VE-cadherin-2, VECAD2. This gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. The encoded protein consists of an extracellular domain containing 6 cadherin repeats, a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic tail that differs from those of the classical cadherins. The gene localizes to the region on chromosome 5 where the protocadherin gene clusters reside. The exon organization of this transcript is similar to that of the gene cluster transcripts, notably the first large exon, but no significant sequence homology exists. The function of this cellular adhesion protein is undetermined but mouse protocadherin 12 does not bind catenins and appears to have no affect on cell migration or growth. About Gmab
GMab, developed by GeneMedi, constitutes an advanced library of recombinant monoclonal antibodies, each meticulously designed to target specific molecular entities. Leveraging the sophisticated capabilities of GM’s Taurus™ and LIBRA™ platforms, GMab synthesizes antibodies characterized by high binding affinity, exceptional physicochemical stability, and optimal developability profiles.
Through expression in mammalian cell lines, GMab has been established as a paradigmatic reference antibody. It holds significance in myriad domains of biological drug discovery, encompassing cellular cultivation, innovative assay methodologies, strategic animal model systematization, in-depth pharmacokinetic & pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling, and intricate mechanism of action (MOA) investigations.
