CD25+ Cells primarily refer to immune cells expressing the CD25 marker, particularly regulatory T cells (Treg, CD4+CD25+FoxP3+). CD25 is a high-affinity IL-2 receptor subunit on the surface of T cells, widely used for identifying and isolating Treg cells. CD25+ cells are typically detected in conjunction with CD4 and FoxP3 markers to confirm the Treg cell phenotype. Research Applications:
Anti-CD25 magnetic beads are used to isolate pure CD4/CD25 Treg cells for in vitro expansion, functional analysis, and subsequent flow cytometry assessment of their suppressive activity. This reveals the mechanisms of Treg cells in immune regulation.
Clinical Applications:
After CD8 cell depletion, CD25+ cells are highly enriched from the leukocytes of healthy donors, yielding polyclonal Tregs. This supports clinical-grade expansion for adoptive immunotherapy. Additionally, large-scale isolation of functional CD25+ Treg cells under clinical-grade conditions is suitable for processing large sample sizes.
